The heavy shower was caused by cyclone Nisarga that made a thumping landfall at Shriwardhan-Dive Agar in Raigad district, hitting coastal Maharashtra of India with full fury.
Yet to wrap up damages caused by recent cyclone Amphan, the locals of river bank villages again fell into distress due to the fresh flood.

Affected people said the water level of Sugandha and Bishkhali Rivers rose up to four to five feet in the afternoon and water invaded approximately 30 localities overflowing the Bishkhali embankment.
A large area of paddy fields went under water while their houses were also flooded with excessive water of rain.
Earlier, cyclone ‘Amphan’ left a trail of devastation when it hit Bangladesh’s coastal districts with wind speed of up to 180kph and over 10 feet tidal surges on May 20.
