A Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinee was killed after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a roadside tree in Rangpur's Gangachara upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Rangan Goswami, 18, son of Pradip Chandra Goswami of Ramnagarpara village under Betgari union in the upazila.
Rangan was a student of Dhantala Reyaz Uddin School and College and was appearing in the ongoing HSC examinations.

The accident occurred around 8am at Shahpara intersection on the Betgari–Paglapir road when Rangan was heading out from home on his motorcycle. He lost control of the vehicle and hit a roadside tree, dying on the spot.
Abdus Sabur, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gangachara Model Police Station, said the body was handed over to the family as they had no complaints over the incident.
An unnatural death (UD) case has been filed in connection with the accident, he added.
