Islamic University, Mar 29 (UNB) - An athlete of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Friday won a gold medal in the inter-university Bangabandhu Sports Champs-2019.
Anika Rahman Tamanna, a third-year student of Islamic History and Culture, received the medal at a prize giving ceremony in Dhaka.
Sixty-five public and private universities took part in the contest, coordinator of IU sports team Professor M Mahbubar Rahman told UNB.
He said he is optimistic that IU will win a lot of medals in this competition.
The Bangabandhu inter-university Sports Chams started on March 17.
