Islamic University, Mar 27 (UNB) - A workshop on 'Teaching Strategies for Tertiary Education' was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Wednesday with a view to making qualified teachers.
IU Institutional Quality Assurance Cell organised the workshop at the university's central library in the morning.
IU Vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the workshop as the chief guest while Dr Bina Biswas, a former Professor of TRR College of Engineering of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India spoke as the resource person.
IU Pro Vice-chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha attended the workshop as the special guests with IQAC director Professor Abdus Sobhan in the chair.
Around one hundred newly appointed teachers of different departments took part in the workshop.
