The election of the Islamic University Teachers’ Association executive council-2022 will be held on the campus in Kushtia on December 12, IUTA officials said on Tuesday
The voting will be held at room no 427 of the Arts Building from 9:30am to 1:30pm without any break.
A total of 30 candidates from Awami League, Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Jamaat-backed teachers’ alliances will contest for 15 posts in the election.

Law department Professor M Shajahan Mondol and Islamic history and culture department Professor M Jahangir Hossain will contest from Bangabandhu Parishad and Shapla forum panel for the posts of president and secretary respectively while accounting and information systems department Professor M Mizanur Rahman and Arabic language and literature department Professor M Mahbubur Rahman will contest from the BNP-Jamaat panel and management department chairman ASM Sharfaraz Newaz and public administration department Professor Mohammad Selim.

All the necessary preparations have been taken to hold the polls in a peaceful atmosphere, IUTA chief election commissioner Professor KM Abdus Sobahan said.
