A man has succumbed to his burn injuries sustained from Saturday's gas cylinder explosion in a shop at Sayedabad in Jatrabari.
The deceased was identified as Bishwanath Dutta, 65, who had 34 percent burns, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of police camp at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Bishwanath was undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Hospital with the five other injured.
The others injured people are Md. Shafiqul Islam (50), Md. Shamsuddin Robin (25), Md. Abul Kalam (45), Md. Ripon (45) and Md. Kabir Hossain (38).

The incident took place near a tea stall in Sayedabad around 5pm on Saturday (November 13).
Injured Shamsuddin Robin said they sustained burn injuries when a gas cylinder exploded near a tea stall in Sayedabad Janpad crossing area of Jatrabari, while painting a cylinder.
After being rescued, they were rushed to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery hospital.
Ayub Hossain, a resident surgeon at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said Kabir Hossain sustained 85 percent burn injuries, Abul Kalam received 80 percent, both Shamshuuddin Robin and Shafiqul Islam received 78 per cent and Md Ripon received 60 percent. Bishwanath Datta received 34% percent burn injuries.
The condition of the first five was critical, Ayub Hossain said on Saturday. But a day later it was Bishwanath who didn't survive his injuries.
