A leader of the Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal (JCD) was among 10 people booked in connection with the murder of a businessman in Sadar upazila of Faridpur, police said on Thursday.
Kotwali Police Station sub-inspector Belal Hossain said the FIR was lodged against the 10, including district JCD president Adnan Hossain, following a complaint from the deceased Sobuj Molla’s father Shahid Molla in the small hours.

On July 4, Sobuj Molla, 29, was hacked to death allegedly by assailants in the Baitul Aman area of Sadar upazila around 10pm. He was declared dead on arrival by doctors at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College and Hospital.
