Confirming the matter to UNB, Student Transport secretary of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) Shams E Noman said: "An experimental service will start from 7th October and around 100 bicycles will be launched from the test run day and latter the number will be increased.”
“The fare for those bicycles will be kept at a reduced rate compared to other transport of the campus. It will cost Tk2.5 for first 5 minutes then Tk0.4 to be charged against next each minute", he added.
The whole project will be run under the name DU Chakkar.
