Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the central committee has served a show-cause notice on Mohammad Faisal Hossain, joint convener of its Jahangirnagar University unit, for allegedly violating organisational discipline.
JCD Central Office Secretary (equivalent to vice president) Md Jahangir Alam signed the notice on Friday, asking Faisal to submit a written explanation within 24 hours.
The notice said Faisal allegedly breached organisational discipline while holding a responsible post in the JU unit. It asked him to explain why permanent organisational disciplinary action should not be taken against him.
Faisal has been directed to appear at the JCD central office and submit his written explanation in the presence of central President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.
The notice said the JCD president and general secretary issued the directive on Friday.
