Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested a leader of banned student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from Dhaka’s Hazaribagh area in connection with a case filed for carrying out an attack on students on Dhaka University campus.
The arrestee was Sajibur Rahman Sajib, president of Bijoy Ekattor dormitory unit BCL.
Tipped off, a team of DB Lalbagh zone, conducted a drive in Zafarbad area of Hazaribagh around 11:30 pm and arrested Sajib on Friday night, said Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of DMP (media).

During the procession, a group of banned BCL men carried out attacks on the students, leaving 300 students injured.
