The Fisheries and Livestock Ministry has announced it will be monitoring the cattle markets under Dhaka North and South City Corporations.

Nine deputy secretary-level officers of the ministry have been tasked to monitor the cattle markets including the veterinary medical activities. They will perform their duties at the respective haats. The Ministry has already issued an order in this regard.
Besides, the Livestock Department also formed a central coordination team, five monitoring teams, 22 veterinary medical teams and two expert veterinary medical teams to ensure veterinary medical services at the cattle markets under both city corporations and they already started their work from Monday, it said.
