Police on Thursday arrested a man for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl at Satarpur village in Kishoreganj’s Karimganj upazila.
The arrestee was identified as Md Ali Hossain, 45, son of late Abbas Ali of the village.
Karimganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Mominul Islam said Hossain raped the girl in the early hours of Sept 7 after breaking into her room.

He fled after the matter became known in the morning, he said.
The victim was later admitted to Kishoregang General Hospital, the OC said.
