The body of an unidentified man was found near the mosque of the new building of Dhaka Medical College on Wednesday morning.
The man aged around 49 was taken to the hospital’s emergency department around 10:30 am in an unconscious condition where the attending doctors declared him dead, said Md Azim, ward master of the new building.
Shahbagh Police Sub-Inspector Md Faruk said, “ We questioned locals near the site but could not determine his identity. Efforts are ongoing using technological methods to identify him. “
The body has been kept at the Dhaka Medical College morgue for post-mortem and legal procedures are underway,he added.
