A 55-year-old man was hacked to death allegedly by his cousin over a trifling matter in Narail's Lohagara upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Babul Sheikh, son of Afzal Sheikh of Handola village in the upazila.

Locals and police said Babul Sheikh's cousin Ripon and his associates went to cut palm trees on Babul's land around 10:30 am on Tuesday.
Being informed, Babul went to the land to stop them. Later, they locked into an altercation over the cutting of the trees. At one point, Ripon hacked Babul with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured.
