Marium Nasreen Afsana, a young Bangladeshi artist, has won an international award at the ‘World Youth Art Seeds’ event organised by the World Institute of Youth Art – Centre for UNESCO, held in Troyes, France from June 17 to 21.
She received the award in the 3–5 age group category for her painting titled ‘City Kite Festival’, said a press release.
Nearly 4,000 young artists from 84 countries participated in this year’s event held under the theme ‘Art and Culture: A Path towards Peace’.
Marium, a student of Golden Eagle Nursery in Dhaka, attended the exhibition at Espace Argence in Troyes, where her artwork was displayed alongside those of other young talents from around the world.
