BNP Standing Committee Member and Prime Minister’s Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan on Tuesday said veteran journalist and writer Maruf Kamal Khan has brought back to public attention many political figures who made significant contributions to the country but were deliberately pushed into oblivion.
He said Maruf has highlighted their contributions through his writings, helping readers rediscover important aspects of Bangladesh’s political history.
The BNP leader made the remarks while addressing as the chief guest the publication ceremony of Maruf Kamal’s book, “Rajnitir Sodore-Ondore”, at the Jatiya Press Club in the afternoon.
The book was published by publishing house Sucheepatra.
Nazrul said the book is not merely a historical document but a work that will sharpen readers’ political consciousness and endure as part of history after standing the test of time.
He praised the writer for bringing forward the contributions and little-known aspects of the lives of political figures who, for various reasons, have been forgotten or sidelined.
The BNP leader said the book will help readers understand and learn about Bangladesh’s political history from perspectives that are often overlooked.
