A minibus was set on fire by unidentified people in front of Kakoli police outpost in Banani on Wednesday evening amid the countrywide 48-hour blockade enforced by the BNP and other like-minded opposition parties.
The fire was reported at around 8:08pm, said Talha Bin Jasim, station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Media Cell.
Two fire service units were sent to the spot, but the flame was doused before they reached the spot.
Earlier, unidentified miscreants set a bus on fire at Tantibazar intersection in Old Dhaka.
On November 6, BNP, Jamaat and like-minded parties announced the 48-hour road-rail-waterways blockade across the country.
