Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Sunday launched a month-long programme marking the month of mourning when the country lost Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975.
A group of disgruntled army officers killed the nation’s founding father along with most of his family members on August 15, 1975.
State Minister of Cultural Affairs Ministry KM Khalid inaugurated the function as Chief Guest at 5 pm, said a press release.
The national cultural center inaugurated a month-long programme of online events titled ‘Satabdir Mahanayak’, centering the 45th death anniversary of father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
