A Narsingdi court on Sunday placed seven people, including the prime accused, on an eight-day remand in a case filed over the rape and murder of a teenage girl in Narsingdi district.
Narsingdi Judicial Magistrate Md Mehedi Hasan passed the order when police produced them before the court with ten-day remand prayer for each.
Earlier, Omar Kaiyum, the investigating officer of the case, produced them before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.
Police arrested Nur Mohammad Nura, the prime accused in the case, from Mawna Intersection in Gazipur on Saturday.
Meanwhile, police also arrested Hazrat Ali, another accused in the case, from Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district on the same day.
So far, seven out of the nine accused in the murder case have been arrested.
Police on Friday arrested five accused from different parts of Narsingdi district.
A 15-year-old girl, who was reportedly abducted by several young men in the presence of her father, was found dead in Madhabdi upazila of Narsingdi district on Thursday.
A case was filed against nine people in this connection.
