Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud has said the parliamentary polls are expected to be held by late 2025 or early 2026.
"We are fully concentrating on the national election now. Local elections are not our priority at this moment," he said at a discussion meeting at the district election office in Patuakhali town on Thursday.
The Election Commission wants to give the nation a fair and impartial election, he said.
