Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen presented his credentials to President Abdul Hamid on Monday.
Welcoming the new ambassador of China, President Hamid said that China is Bangladesh's largest bilateral development partner and an important country for trade and investment, including the implementation of various mega projects.
Highlighting China's cooperation in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh, the President hoped that the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China will be strengthened with the increase of trade and investment in the future.

President Hamid thanked the Chinese government for its help in dealing with Coronavirus.
He hopes that China will play a strong role in ensuring that the forcibly displaced Rohingyas can return to their motherland with dignity as soon as possible.
During the meeting, the new ambassador of China sought the cooperation of the president in fulfilling his duties.
Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, President's Office Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Md Zainal Abedin were present on the occasion.
