Additional Commissioner and Chief of Detective Branch (DB)of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mohammad Harun or Rashid on Wednesday said no one will be spared, no matter how big leader he is, if there is a warrant for any case.
"If there is a warrant for a case against anyone…no one is being exempted," he said while talking to reporters at his Minto Road office in the city.
Responding to a question, the DB chief said that the job of law enforcement agency is to bring criminals under the law.
He said that law would take its own course and any influence would not work.

The top official of the DB claimed that BNP’s Publicity Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie was repeatedly informed about the warrant issued against him, but he did not take bail from court. Two warrants were issued against him in Lakshmipur district.
He was arrested by the Dhanmondi Model Police Station based on the request of the Lakshmipur District Police. Besides, he is also an accused in a case of attacking police in Science lab area of the capital.

Dhanmondi police arrested him for two reasons. Although there is a warrant against him, he did not appear in court and did not take bail, the official said.
He did not appear before court in any case. The BNP leader was arrested by the police because he had a warrant, the DB chief added.
Dhanmomdi thana police arrested Annie from his Dhanmondi residence in Dhaka early Wednesday.
