A CNG filling station employee died and an autorickshaw driver was injured as a gas cylinder exploded in Debipur upazila of Feni Sadar on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Saidul Islam Rony, 30, son of Nurul Islam of South Andharmanik village in Radhanagar union of Chhagalnaiya upazila of Feni and the injured was Zahid Alam, 27.
According to police and locals, CNG auto-rickshaw driver Zahid went to Debipur Prime CNG filling station around 8am on Monday to take gas.

The explosion occurred while filling gas in the empty cylinder of the auto-rickshaw, leaving Saidul and Zahid, who was standing beside him, injured.
Later, locals rescued the two and took them to Feni Sadar General Hospital where doctors of the emergency department declared Saidul dead and the injured driver was given first aid.
Kudrat Ullah Babu, manager of the filling station, said it was an accident.
Feni Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Thowai Ongpru Marma said the body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Legal action will be taken in this regard, he added.
