The headmaster of Rangardia Government Primary School in Sonapur Union, Saltha Upazila, Faridpur, died after the Mahindra vehicle she was traveling in lost control and fell into a ditch while returning from school.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon (February 24) near the Chowrangi intersection, in front of the Kujurdiya Madrasa, on the Saltha-Faridpur regional road.
The deceased, Asma Begum, was the wife of Fazlullah Al Azad. They lived in the village of Madhya Jagdia, Nagarkanda Upazila.

Mainul Islam, president of the Saltha Upazila Primary Teachers' Association, said, “As usual, on Monday afternoon, Asma was returning home by Mahindra from school. Near Chowrangi intersection, the vehicle lost control and fell into a ditch, causing serious injuries to Asma.”
She was later rescued and taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared her dead. Four other passengers in the Mahindra vehicle were injured and admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
Asaduzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station, said, “Upon receiving information about the road accident, police were sent to the spot. The body of the deceased was recovered and sent for autopsy.”
