A court here on Wednesday sent a house owner to jail as she forced a tenant’s family to leave the house for failing to pay rent of one month.
The woman was identified as Nur Aktar, a house owner of city’s Kalabagan area.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court Judge Md Abu Sayed passed the order after rejecting her bail plea.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Nur from her house on Tuesday.

Earlier, on Saturday night she forced a family with three children including a child to leave their rented house as they failed to pay one month’s rent.
