Police in a drive arrested a suspected ringleader of a pirate gang along with arms and ammunition from Uttar Salua village in Paikgachcha upazila of Khulna on Thursday night.
The arrestees were identified as Rustam Gazi, head of notorious ‘Rustam Bahini’.
Police also arrested his wife during the drive, said Ezaz Shahi, officer-in-charge of Paikgachcha Police Station.
Two foreign revolvers, one pistol, ten bullets, two knives, two axes and one saw were recovered from his house.
Rustam was wanted in several cases including that of murder.
