The Asia EdTech Summit (AES) celebrated a major milestone with the official launch of the AES Bangladesh Consortium at The Westin Dhaka on Saturday, bringing together over 200 EdTech leaders, investors, policymakers, and global delegates to shape the future of education technology across Asia.
Hosted by AES Bangladesh Chapter, the event underscored Bangladesh’s growing influence in the global EdTech ecosystem, focusing on digital inclusion, innovation scaling, and cross-border collaboration.
Abdul Matin Sheikh, President of AES Bangladesh and CEO of BacBon Ltd., alongside Vice President Md. Numeri Sattar Apar, Founder of Apar’s Classroom, and A B M Gazi Sahlahuddin Tanvir Hayder, Founder & CEO of GST Learning, the event’s title sponsor, shared their vision for transforming education through strategic partnerships. Global leaders from Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, China, and Thailand expressed their support, while keynote speakers Rene Chu from the Smart City Consortium (Hong Kong) and Wooin Bae from AES Korea shared insights on future EdTech trends.
Two key panel discussions—one addressing the digital divide in education, moderated by Fairoz Khaled Ohi, CEO of ACS Future School, and another on scaling Bangladeshi EdTech solutions globally, led by Oxford education policy expert Tasnia Nuran—highlighted both challenges and opportunities. Distinguished guests, including Tomohide Ichiguchi, Chief Representative of JICA Bangladesh, and Chief Guest Wahiduddin Mahmud, Planning Adviser to the Interim Government, graced the event, while the AES Bangladesh Awards honored three outstanding EdTech companies for their impact on digital education.
"This isn’t just a launch—it’s a movement,” said Md. Nazmus Sakib, General Secretary of AES Bangladesh, emphasizing the consortium’s mission to connect local talent with global opportunities.
