Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday extended heartiest congratulations to the Bangladesh U-19 Cricket Team for lifting the ICC U-19 World Cup trophy beating India in a nail-biting final.
In a congratulatory message to the U-19 players, the Prime Minister said the team have to move forward in the future keeping this sportsman-like attitude.
The Junior Tigers beat India by three wickets in the final at Potchefstroom in South Africa on Sunday.
Chasing a revised target of 170 in 46 overs under the DLS method, they reached the goal for seven wickets in 42.1 overs.
Parvez Hossain Emon scored team highest 47 off 79 balls with seven boundaries while skipper Akbar Ali remained not out on 43 off 77 deliveries hitting four boundaries and one six.
