Briefing media after the meeting, Principal Information Officer Joynal Abedin said that the Prime Minister discussed various state-level issues with the President.
She informed the head of the state of her recent Brunei visit, Joynal said.
The Prime Minister returned from Brunei on Tuesday morning after a three-day official visit at the invitation of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.
President Hamid was informed that Bangladesh and Brunei signed seven instruments to strengthen cooperation, mainly in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, livestock, culture and sports, and supply of LNG.
The President hoped that the visit will help strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties between the two countries.
Prime Minister Hasina also informed the President about different development activities of the government during the meeting.
They also enquired about each other’s health.
The Prime Minister reached Bangabhaban at 6:23pm where she was received by the President.
Secretaries concerned and high officials of both the President and Prime Minister’s offices were also present.
