Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday held a meeting on improving the living standards of salt farmers in the country.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat, said a release issued by the PM’s Press Wing.
It said the meeting stressed ensuring fair prices for salt farmers and discussed various measures to improve their livelihoods.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir, Finance and Planning Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Finance Secretary Dr Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Industries Secretary Md Obaidur Rahman, Additional Commerce Secretary Abdur Rahim Khan and Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Chairman Md Saiful Islam, among others, attended the meeting.
