Prime Minister Tarique Rahman here on Monday inaugurated an emergency measles-rubella vaccination campaign.
The campaign was launched at Ziaur Rahman Gram Hospital in the Bagbari area of Gabtoli upazila in Bogura district.
The Prime Minister formally inaugurated the programme around 1:45pm and took part in a view-exchange meeting at the hospital.
His wife Dr Zubaida Rahman also attended the programme and spoke on the occasion.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister arrived at the Bogura Circuit House at around 10:00am. He later unveiled the plaque of the newly constructed District Bar Association building on the district court premises.
He also inaugurated the e-bail bond system for Bogura and six other districts from the court premises, and later launched the Bogura City Corporation, upgrading the municipality to city corporation status.

During his visit, he is scheduled to take part in several programmes across the district. These include distribution of family cards at the Shaheed Zia Degree College ground, inauguration of excavation work of the Chowkidah Canal in Nasipur, a visit to his ancestral home in Bagbari, and a public rally organised by the district BNP at Altafunnessa Playground.
