PM shocked at Ayesha Khanam’s death


Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Mohila Parishad President and valiant Freedom Fighter Ayesha Khanam.

In a condolence message, she said that the womenfolk of the country lost a true friend and courageous co-fighter at the death of this woman leader.

The Prime Minister prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Earlier today, Ayesha Khanam, President of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, died at a hospital in the city. She was 74.

Ayesha, also a freedom fighter, breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the hospital. She had been suffering from various diseases including cancer.
