The portfolios of two ministers and state ministers have been reassigned in the cabinet, according to a gazette issued by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday.
The gazette states that the reshuffle was made under Rule 3(iv) of the Rules of Business, 1996.
According to the notice, Minister Mohammad Aminur Rashid’s responsibilities have been adjusted. Previously in charge of the Ministry of Food, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, and Ministry of Agriculture, he will now oversee only the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Meanwhile, State Minister Md. Abdul Bari’s portfolio has been expanded. He had previously been responsible for the Ministry of Public Administration, and the Ministry of Food has now been added to his responsibilities.
The gazette noted that the order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
