"The President will leave Dhaka tomorrow (Tuesday) on a two-day visit to Khulna to attend several programmes of Bangladesh Navy, including National Standard Conferment Ceremony at BNS Base Titumir at Khalispur," President’s Press Secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin told UNB on Monday evening.
A helicopter carrying the President is scheduled to leave here in the afternoon, he said.
Abdul Hamid will address the National Standard Conferment Ceremony on Wednesday.
BNS Titumir is a naval base of the Bangladeshi Navy founded after the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 and is located in Khulna.
It mainly conducts professional training for the supply branch officers and sailors at different level of their career.
President Hamid, who is also the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, will return to Dhaka on Wednesday evening.
