President Abdul Hamid Wednesday urged the implementing agencies to make sure that the benefits of development projects reach people.
"It is not only your duty to undertake and implement development projects, but also to ensure that the people get the benefits of development," he said.
The president was exchanging views with public representatives of Mithamoin upazila of Kishoreganj at an auditorium named after him.
He reached Mithamin in the afternoon on a three-day visit.
The president said the main job of public representatives is to work for the welfare of the people to gain their trust and confidence.
Lawmakers Md Afzal Hossain and Rezwan Ahmad Taufiq were also present on the occasion.
