Qatar's Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi on Tuesday met Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and discussed issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Earthna Summit.
Energy Adviser Fouzul Kabir Khan, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman, BIDA Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun and SDGs Affairs Principal Coordinator Lamiya Morshed, among others, were present.
Before the meeting, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said Bangladesh is seeking greater cooperation in the energy sector with Qatar as Bangladesh is seeing an increased number of investors who will need gas.

Since there is a long-term agreement with Qatar on LNG import, Press Secretary Alam said Bangladesh will have a discussion on greater energy sector cooperation.
The Press Secretary said the relationship between Bangladesh and Qatar will further be strengthened in the coming days.
