Students of Dhaka University (DU) on Monday gave the authorities a five-day ultimatum for publishing names of 63 students who were expelled for cheating in admission tests.
Around 15 students, lead by Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) member Tanir Hasan Shaikat, met the proctor at his office and submitted a written application.
Tanir told UNB that the students have the right to know the names of those who enrolled at the university through fraudulent means.
“But the university administration wants to hide their names. That's why we’ve given a five-day ultimatum to publish the names. Otherwise we will go for tougher movement,” he added.
On Jan 28, DU expelled 63 students for enrolling through fraudulent means from 2012-13 to 2017-18 academic sessions.
