He made the remarks at the students’ commencement programme of Bangladesh Medical College (BMC) at Dhanmondi in the capital.
Noting the government’s steps of establishing new medical colleges, universities, hospitals, and appointing doctors at union level and community clinics for the marginal people, the minister urged the students to gain confidence of
people by providing service.
“Besides becoming a good doctor, you should strive to be good human beings,” he told the medical students to acquire the qualities to be efficient doctors.
Altogether 120 students, including 40 foreign students of 34th MBBS batch, attended the commencement programme.
Prof Dr Deen Mohammad Nurul Haque and Dhaka University Medicine Faculty Dean Prof Dr Shahriar Nabi among others were present with BMC Principal Prof Dr Paritosh Kumar Ghosh in the chair.
