Qatar Charity (QC) has launched its Ramadan Campaign for 1447H (2026) in Bangladesh by distributing essential food assistance to orphan and underprivileged communities across the country.
This year, the initiative has benefited 12,470 people, helping to ease financial hardship and ensure food security during the holy month of Ramadan, said a press release.
The food parcels were carefully prepared to meet the nutritional needs of families for at least one month.
Distribution activities were carried out at several locations, including Qatar Charity’s orphan care centres and rural communities.
In line with its humanitarian values, Qatar Charity’s field teams made special efforts to reach remote and hard-to-access households. Priority was given to orphans, widows and families facing extreme hardship.
In many cases, food packages were delivered directly to beneficiaries’ homes to ensure their comfort and dignity.
Staff from Qatar Charity’s Bangladesh office actively supervised and took part in every stage of the distribution process, ensuring transparency, respect and smooth implementation.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation for the timely support.
Commenting on the initiative, Zakarya Al Motair, Country Director of Qatar Charity’s Bangladesh Office, said, “Ramadan is a month of compassion, solidarity and generosity. Through this campaign, we aim to ensure that vulnerable families, especially orphans and widows, can observe the holy month without the burden of food insecurity. Qatar Charity remains committed to standing beside the people of Bangladesh and expanding our humanitarian efforts to reach those most in need with dignity and respect.”
As part of its ongoing Ramadan activities, Qatar Charity’s Bangladesh office is also preparing to distribute Zakat al-Fitr to needy families ahead of Eid, further extending support to those in need.
