Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four leaders and activists of BNP’s associate bodies, Sramik Dal and Jubo Dal, from Dhaka’s Jatrabari area.
The arrestees were identified as Md. Ali Akbar, 44, convener of ward 62 unit of Jubo Dal of Dhaka South; Md. Ziaul Hasan Khan, 40, member secretary of Sramik Dal; Md. Shukkur Ali, 52, convener of ward 48 unit of Sramik Dal; and Md. Abu Bakar, 57, president of ward 63 unit of Sramik Dal.

They were arrested during a series of raids by RAB-10 in Jatrabari area of Dhaka on Saturday night.
RAB-10 Assistant Director (Ops) Aminul Islam confirmed the development this afternoon.

He said that arrestees admitted their involvement in sabotage plot on various occasions.
“They were also directly involved in various types of subversive activities, including vandalism of cars and arson attacks on buses in Jatrabari, Saidabad, Dholaipar, Golapbagh, Demra, Dania, and other surrounding areas of the capital,” said the RAB official. They have been handed over to the concerned police station.
