Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes in all divisions, including Dhaka of the country in 24 hours commencing 9am on Thursday.
“Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office update.
Day temperature may rise by (1-2)°C and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, according to the BMD.
Rains likely across country, temperature may drop
The country’s highest temperature 35 degree Celsius was recorded in Baghabari of Rajshahi over the past 24 hours till 6pm on Wednesday while the lowest temperature 20.5 degree Celsius was recorded in Chuadanga and Tetulia of Panchagarh till 6am on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Mymensingh experienced highest 52 millimeter of rainfall over the past 24 hours till 6am on Thursday.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal to North Bay across Southwestern part of Bangladesh.
