The weather department has predicted showers across Bangladesh in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Sunday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at places over southern part the country,” said a Met Office bulletin.

Day temperature may fall by 1-2°C and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The weather office recorded the highest 98 mm rainfall in Netrokona of Mymensingh division in 24 hours till 6am on Sunday.
The highest temperature was recorded at 36.1 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature at 23.6 degrees in Cox’s Bazar of Chattogram division.
Besides, the well-marked Low over West-central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay moved westnorthwestwards, intensified into a Depression over coastal Odisha and adjoining Northwest Bay and West central Bay.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, centre of the Depression to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong elsewhere over North Bay, said the bulletin.
