Rear Admiral Khondkar Misbah Ul Azim has been appointed as the next Chief of the Bangladesh Navy and will assume office on July 23 after being promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed the appointment in a press release issued on Thursday.
According to the ISPR, Rear Admiral Misbah Ul Azim will be promoted to Vice Admiral on July 23 before taking over as the Navy chief on the same day.
Meanwhile, a notification issued by the Ministry of Defence said he has been appointed Chief of the Bangladesh Navy for a three-year term, effective until July 22, 2029.
He will succeed the outgoing Navy chief upon assuming office on July 23, the notification added.
