Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain said that if every member of society dedicates themselves to religious practice and principles, the incidence of crime can be significantly reduced.
He came up with the remarks while inaugurating mosques in Chattogram on Friday.
The adviser laid the foundation stone for one model mosque and inaugurated two mosques in Hathazari, Raozan, and Rangunia upazilas of Chattogram.

Approximately Tk 40 crore will be allocated for the construction of these three mosques.
Under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Islamic Foundation is currently building 564 mosques and Islamic cultural centers across the country.
Shaykhul Hadith Allama Sheikh Ahmed, head of Hathazari Madrasa; Maulana Khalil Ahmed Qasemi; Maulana Mahmudul Hasan Fatehpuri; additional secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Mu: A: Awal Hawlader; director general of the Islamic Foundation A: Salam Khan; and project director Md. Shahidul Alam were also present.
