The deceased was identified as Enamul of Chandupara village in Sadar upazila.
Dr Shafique Amin Kajol, resident doctor of the hospital, said Enamul was admitted with fever, coughing and sneezing on Thursday afternoon and died at 9pm.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the administration and it will be buried according to the rule, he said, adding that the man’s sample was collected and sent to Rajshahi Medical College for coronavirus testing.
Meanwhile, the upazila administration has been urged to keep the house of the deceased under lockdown, he added.
Bangladesh has so far reported 75 deaths and 1,818 coronavirus cases.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday evening declared the entire country as ‘vulnerable zone’ to virus infection.

There have been 2,185,744 confirmed cases around the world after the highly infectious disease was first reported in China in December last year, according to worldometer.
Of those infected, 1,485,452 are currently being treated with 56,601 being in serious or critical condition. So far, 553,323 people had recovered.
The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
