Rajshahi  University, Jan 20 (UNB) – The 15-member executive body of Rajshahi University Journalist Association (RUJA) has been formed with Suzon Ali of UNB as president and Saifullah Saif of NTV Online as general secretary for the year of 2019-20.

Addressing the annual meeting of RUJA held its office on Saturday evening, the organisation’s outgoing adviser Hasan Adib declared the committee.

The other nominated office bearers are vice-presidents Moin Uddin (banglanews24.com) and Shisir Mahmud (Sangbad Protidin), organizing secretary GM Milton (Dainik Amader Somoy), joint-secretary Redwanul Haque Bijoy (Kaler Kantha), treasurer  Shahin Alam (Desh Rupantor),  office secretary Raj Kiron Das (New Nation and Bangladesh Post), publication and publicity affairs secretary Nuruzzaman Khan (Daily Odhikar), literature and cultural secretary Mehedi Hasan (Daily Sonar Desh), information  and technology affairs secretary Tapos Kumer Sarker (bdjournal), sports affairs secretary Sazzad Hossain (Daily Samachar) and planning and program affairs secretary Noor Alam (Daily Sunshine).

Besides, the two selected executive members are Subroto Gain (channel-I online) and Tousif Kaium (bartabazar24.com).

RUJA outgoing president Salekin Ahmed of Bangla Tribune and Dhaka Tribune, general secretary Jahirul Islam Jahid of Daily Manab Zamin and vice-president Rashed Rintu will act as advisors to the committee.

Meanwhile, RU pro vice-chancellors Professor M Abdus Sobhan, Ananda Kumar Saha and Choudhury M Zakaria and other high-ups of the university authorities as well as all the political, socio-political and voluntary organisations of the university welcomed the new executive body.
