The government of South Korea has donated 190 Taekwondo equipment to Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF).
The equipment that includes 40 sets of headgears, body protectors, arm guards and leg guards respectively as well as 30 sets of kicking paddles were handed at the National Sports Complex of Bangladesh in presence of South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-keun.
Kazi Morshed Hossain Kamal, President of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation(BTF), Mahmudul Islam Rana, Secretary General of BTF and Lee Ju-sang, Korean Taekwondo Grand Master were present.
Stating that Taekwondo is not only sports but also a martial art learned by elite soldiers, policemen and border guards contributing to the security of Bangladesh, Ambassador Lee said that Taekwondo has been playing an important role in the promotion of Korea-Bangladesh ties.
Ambassador Lee also said Taekwondo is helping young people to guard themselves against the virus both physically and mentally in the unprecedented difficult time due to the corona pandemic.
