Cultural organisation Sammilita Sangskritik Jote (SSJ) held a protest seminar against the barbaric attacks of Israeli forces on innocent Palestinians in Gaza on Saturday afternoon in the premises of the central Shaheed Minar of the capital.
Presided over by Sammilita Sangskritik Jote President Ghulam Quddus, speakers at the event stated that influential countries that assist and collaborate with Israel are equally accountable for the humanitarian catastrophe brought about by the heinous attacks on civilians in Gaza.
Sammilita Sangskritik Jote vice presidents Mir Barkat and Jhuna Chowdhury, assistant general secretary Ahmed Gias, Bangladesh Path Natak Parishad president Mizanur Rahman, Bangladesh Nrityashilpy Sangstha president Minu Haque, Bangladesh Ganasangeet Samannay Parishad vice president Fakir Siraj, and others spoke at the event.
The cultural elites also condemned political parties, especially Bangladesh's Islamic political alliances, for failing to condemn the killings of innocent Palestinians.
