Senior journalist and member of Jatiya Press Club Syed Lutful Haque died at a hospital on Wednesday morning. He was 72.
He breathed his last at 5:30pm at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), said Mainul Alam, Joint Secretary of Jatiya Press Club.
He was admitted to the DMCH with pneumonia and breathing complications on January 7.
Lutful Haque left behind two sons and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He started his career with Daily Ittefaq in 1968. He was also a renowned artist and received different awards.
Jatiya Press Club President Farida Yasmin expressed deep shock and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
