Dhaka, Aug 29 (UNB)- Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed MP on Thursday said skilled workers are being prepared by the government according to the need of Japanese labourmarket.
“The demand of Bangladeshi workers will grow further if we can provide with more skillful workers,” he said.
He was addressing an event to hand over smart-card to Japan-bound technical interns at Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare & Overseas Employment.
Eight interns were handed over smart-cards as part of a government funded programme of Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (bmet) with support from IM Japan.
The Minister lauded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s diplomatic efforts to open Japanese labour market for Bangladesh.
Claiming that Bangladeshi workers are internationally reputed , Imran Ahmed said, “Labour markets in other countries will open for them successively.”
